The Bronx Documentary Center’s Tim Hetherington Photobook Library is home to a growing collection of over 2,000 photography books, dedicated to preserving the legacy of documentary photography and supporting the local community. Our collection features works from renowned photographers, emerging talents, and powerful photo essays that explore social issues, culture, and history from around the world.

In addition to our curated collection of photobooks, the library serves as a vital resource for students, educators, and anyone passionate about photography. 

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tim Hetherington’s family, as well as all those who have generously donated books over the years, for helping us build and sustain this invaluable collection.
