Join Finnish photographer and New York Times photo editor Mikko Takkunen for a discussion of his debut photobook, Hong Kong. Created during the aftermath of political protests and at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the book captures the city through hidden perspectives and moods. Driven by an impending relocation, Takkunen embarked on this visual journey to preserve his experience of Hong Kong before leaving in 2021.

Takkunen will be in conversation with David Friend, Vanity Fair’s editor of creative development, who reviewed Hong Kong in the magazine.
